Goals

The goal was to be a central information hub of The Obama Foundation and act as both a storytelling tool and a call to action for others to get involved. We wanted to present, in an interactive manner, the story of the family as well as present the latest community initiatives and programs. The story of the Obama's does not end at the White House, so our approach was to guide users to join the Obamas in their next step into the future whether through donations or local action.

Approach

We had an unprecendented amount of photos and media available to work with on this project, but the emphasis was placed on inspiration. To tell their story we utilized large, impactful imagery combined with video for storytelling and social media integration for timely, relevant content integration.

Solution

We designed a unique, flowing presentation that guides users through the journey of the Obamas from Chicago to the White House and beyond. An emphasis was placed on superb usability on mobile and ease of use when looking to make a donation which resulted in an efficient 3-click to donate system.

Result

Their website now serves at the starting point for millions around the world who seek to donate, learn, or get involved with the world-changing foundation. It will continue to grow, along with the fellowship program, and be the centerpoint of their donation efforts and community innitiatives going forward.
